Job Description
– Lead and develop the accounting team, including staff training and recruitment
– Manage internal controls and project deadlines using company systems
– Develop business through sales activities with local and international clients
– Provide expert tax advisory services covering planning, strategy, M&A, and compliance
– Liaise with government authorities including Tax Department and Customs officials
– Oversee quality control by reviewing junior staff work, tax returns, and financial reports
– Ensure compliance with IFRS Standards in all financial reporting
– Manage external audit relationships and tax refund applications
– Stay current with tax laws and represent the firm at international conferences
– Complete other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
– Tax agency license
– At least 4-5 years of experience in accounting, financial control, and taxation (not single, but multiple fields)
– Good or Advanced English Proficiency
– Knowledge of IFRS Standards (must)
– Strong leadership and team management skills
– Excellent client relationship management abilities
– Proficiency in tax compliance and planning.
Priority
– Ability to speak Japanese is an advantage
– Experience with tax strategy and complex tax matters
– Experience managing a team in a professional services environment
– Strong work ethic and ability to maintain performance under pressure
– Preferably male candidates for senior position.
