Position Summary
The Sale Manager leads Mekong Micro Insurance’s sales strategy, manages a geographically dispersed sales force, and drives revenue growth for microinsurance products. The role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to enhance sales operational efficiency while building community and partner relationships.
Working Conditions
- Working Time: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (Break: 12:00 – 1:30 pm)
- Working Days: Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities
I. Sales Strategy Development & Execution
- Lead sales and marketing strategies across all distribution channels (Financial Institutions, Corporate/Alternate, Agency)
- Identify new business opportunities and untapped market segments
- Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs
- Design and implement market-specific pricing and product bundles
II. Team Leadership & Performance Maximization
- Manage talent lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring sales team
- Promote results-driven, ethical, and collaborative sales practices
- Deliver training on insurance products, sales techniques, compliance, and customer service
III. Strategic Relationship Management & Business Development
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with key partners (FIs, NGOs, healthcare/education providers, individuals)
- Lead business development activities, presentations, proposals, and negotiations
- Gather field feedback for product and sales process improvement
- Represent the company at industry events
IV. Sales Operations & Reporting Excellence
- Oversee the full sales cycle: lead generation → pipeline management → deal closure
- Prepare reports, analyses, and forecasts for CEO and management
- Ensure compliance with policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Finance & Banking, or related fields
- 5–7 years progressive experience in insurance or financial services
- Minimum 2 years in a management role within insurance
- Proven track record in exceeding sales targets and revenue growth
- Experience managing, developing, and motivating diverse sales teams
- Strong leadership, coaching, team-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends
- Proactive, self-motivated, results-driven, ethical, and accountable
- Good English (written and spoken)

- Certifications in microinsurance
- Professional insurance certifications or advanced sales management training
