Position Summary
We are looking for an Operation Supervisor (Import) to maintain existing customers, develop new ones, and ensure smooth import operations. This role includes shipment coordination, customs documentation, billing, team training, and collaborating with sales and brokerage teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer & Shipment Management

  • Maintain existing customers and support sales team in acquiring new clients.
  • Request and receive pre-alert shipments from origin.
  • Check COO forms, MBL, HBL, invoices, packing lists, and send documents to the brokerage team.
  • Send shipment pre-alerts to customers.
  • Submit HBL to local carriers and co-loaders for consolidated shipments.
  • Submit Asyhub customs manifests and issue authorized letters for carriers and import formalities.
  • Follow up on local charge invoices and settle payments with carriers or co-loaders.

     2. Customs & Clearance

  • Work closely with the brokerage team for document submission and customs approval.
  • Request CVD drafts for estimated duty tax and confirm amounts with customers before clearance.
  • Advise customers on clearance and delivery plans.
  • Monitor clearance process and update customers on status.
  1. Logistics & Operations

  • Arrange trucking and workers for unloading at sites.
  • Confirm shipments after unloading at customer warehouses.
  • Collect costing and invoices from brokerage team, trucking, and vendors for shipment closing.
  • Issue billing invoices and review vendor quotations to maintain profitability.
  • Review data in UFS+ systems for accuracy.
  • Request SOA from vendors and withdraw deposit containers from carriers.
  1. Team Training & Development

  • Train operations staff and new team members to handle shipments and new tasks.
  • Build a strong team to achieve daily import plans.
  1. Reporting & Administration

  • Update shipment clearance plans, prepare monthly accrual reports, and support import operations.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the team manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience in shipping and logistics; at least 3 years in an import supervisor/leader role.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with multiple parties.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
