Orchid Koh Pich Hospital is urgently Medical Doctor (Night Shift/Full Time).
Medical Doctor role provides special care for maternity and gynecology clients who are coming for consultation, delivery and any gynecology diseases. OGFT also responds mainly for IPD clients who are hospitalized in any reasons. Additionally, he/she must participate in operation as an assistant, helps to monitor midwives in OR tasks. In case needed, when General medicine doctor is taking day off, she must respond in general medicine consultation and keep communication between the departments to make it go smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities will include the following essential tasks including and not limited to:
1. Medical Clinical Responsibilities:
– To ensure the provisioning of a comprehensive maternity and gynecology services to all women including diagnoses conditions in the ladies after giving birth, including bleeding, oedema, breathing, and other conditions,
– To ensure an accurate and timely medical treatment to clients including examination and/or administering appropriate health condition including health assessment, monitoring, vaccination and to document service provision accordingly,
– To complete general medicine schedule for consultation, when general medicine doctor is not available, and keep communication to department
– Provide clinical support and decision making around unwell women who need to be retrieved and monitored for a higher level of care,
– Ensuring the administering of essential medical health care of the women, using monitoring appropriate devices, administering medication,
– Ensure staff (midwives/nurses) are appropriately trained on the utilization of medical equipment to patient with maximum efficiency and effectiveness, compliance with infection control policies,
– Completes patient and employee incident reports and related paperwork within 24 hours and communicating appropriately to relevance people including family/guardians, and updating Orchid’s medical and management team,
– To provide medical technical support to Orchid’s Telehealth (hotline) services,
– When on acute duty, away from the clinic, it requires to remain immediately contactable and available in person and/or an assigned medical professional within 1 hour time period, and to attend emergency caesarean as requested,
2. Management and Leadership Responsibilities:
– Participate in administrative tasks such as preparation of maternity/gynecology clinical guidelines, protocols and informational materials for colleagues and clients,
– To contribute to the development of Information Education Communication (IEC) for marketing purpose via social media, serving as technical expert,
– To manage the clinical workload effectively, supporting team in ensuring care is prioritized appropriately,
– To assist in ensuring the safety of the unit, actively participating in clinical audit, clinical risk and quality issues, including reporting of critical incidents,
– To maintain effective links with the maternity unit, pediatric department, the multidisciplinary team and the maternity/gynecology network units,
– To provide training and support to staff leaning and development, and provide relevant recommendation for improvement,
– Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
– Experienced maternity/gynecology/general medical doctor
– Current, active, professional licensure to practice in the Kingdom of Cambodia
Skills and Experience:
– Demonstrable success in managing and leading maternity/gynecology services.
– Ability to work independently, handle multiple assignments and prioritize workload, manage day-to-day unit activities
– Have a genuine empathy with patients, the general public and staff at all levels.
– Committed to personal, professional development, provision patient focused services.
– Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills – fluent in Khmer written/spoken, good command of English is highly desirable,
– Required Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge, learn approved software
– Highly analytical and strategic with excellent foresight and problem-solving skills
