Job Description

1. Core Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with Cambodian accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow)
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
  • Monitor cash flow, reconcile bank statements, and manage petty cash

2. Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Cambodian tax laws (VAT, withholding tax, annual tax filings)
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and government agencies
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise management accordingly

3. Budgeting & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Provide regular financial reports and variance analysis to management
  • Track expenses against budgets and recommend cost-control measures

4. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Review and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy
  • Support digitalization initiatives (ERP / accounting systems)

5. Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with HR and Operations on payroll and employee benefits accounting
  • Provide financial insights for recruitment and business planning
  • Support management in evaluating financial feasibility of expansion or new initiatives

Required Skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CAT) is an advantage
  • Minimum 4–5 years of accounting experience (Cambodia or SEA preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Cambodian accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Proficient in accounting software (SAP / ERP systems)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Payroll and HR-related accounting experience is a plus

Language & Communication

  • Proficient in Khmer and English (written & spoken)
  • Able to communicate with auditors, tax authorities, and internal teams

Additional Requirements

  • Familiar with Cambodian labor law (payroll compliance)
