Job Description
We are seeking 5 motivated Credit Officers to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in building a career in microfinance and helping people achieve their financial goals.
As a Credit Officer, you will be the face of our company, working directly with clients to understand their needs and guide them through the loan application process.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Development:
- Identify and find potential customers in the community
- Conduct field visits to meet prospective clients
- Present and promote loan products to individuals and businesses
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent service
- Convince qualified clients to apply for loans
Loan Processing & Assessment:
- Receive and check loan applications for completeness
- Process loan applications according to company procedures
- Verify all required documents and client information
- Conduct background checks and credit assessments
- Evaluate client creditworthiness and repayment capacity
Decision Making & Monitoring:
- Analyze loan applications and prepare recommendations
- Recommend loan approval or rejection based on assessment
- Monitor loan repayments and follow up with clients
- Track overdue payments and conduct collection activities
- Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related fields
Essential Skills:
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication and persuasion skills
- Financial Knowledge: Basic understanding of finance or accounting principles
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry)
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients
- English: Basic to Good English proficiency

- Self-motivated and target-oriented
- Honest and ethical in business dealings
- Good analytical and decision-making abilities
- Willing to conduct field visits
- Able to work under pressure
