Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and expanding market presence for Artelia Cambodia, a leading engineering consulting and project management firm. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and supporting strategic initiatives aligned with the company’s core services in construction and project management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Research & Strategy
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs in construction and engineering.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets.
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with developers, contractors, government agencies, and private sector clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
3. Proposal & Tender Coordination
- Collaborate with technical teams (engineers, project managers) to prepare proposals for tender submissions.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of proposals aligned with client expectations.
4. Partnerships & Networking
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Establish partnerships with complementary service providers and stakeholders.
5. Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and marketing teams to align business development efforts with operational capabilities.
- Provide feedback to improve service offerings and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Advanced English communication skills (business level).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in business development, preferably in engineering or construction consulting.
- Strong understanding of Project Management (PM) and Construction Management (CM) services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
Priority Skills
- Established network and knowledge of Cambodian construction and real estate market.
- Fluency in Khmer is an advantage.
- Experience in a management role (head of department or C-level).
- Long-term experience in engineering or construction consulting.
- Strong professional connections in Cambodia’s engineering/construction field.
