POSITION OVERVIEW
This role handles accounting tasks for retail operations and provides support for financial administration and related tasks. Staff-level positions focus on daily accounting operations, while manager-level positions involve team management, financial oversight, monthly closing, tax compliance, and internal control.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Level:
- Manage cash deposits and withdrawals (Cash & Bank)
- Prepare payments and remittances (Suppliers, Rent, etc.)
- Manage and record petty cash
- Enter sales and purchasing data into system/Excel
- Organize, scan, and file receipts and invoices
- Verify expense reimbursement applications
- Perform bank reconciliation
- Prepare monthly tax documents (VAT, WHT, Salary Tax)
- Compile attendance and overtime data for payroll
- Create company expense analysis reports
- Manage fixed assets list and assist with depreciation
- Support inventory stock-taking
Manager Level:
- Supervise and support accounting staff
- Manage progress of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
- Review vouchers, data entry, and tax documents prepared by staff
- Prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
- Perform final checks on payments and invoices
- Monitor bank balances and cash flow; forecast needs
- Analyze monthly variances in sales and expenses
- Review and adjust account titles/codes for monthly closing
- Prepare financial reports for headquarters
- Review monthly tax filings and liaise with tax agents
- Handle external audits and monitor internal controls
- Prepare financial reports for management meetings
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Banking
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting (Manager level requires management experience)
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- English proficiency sufficient to communicate with Japanese managers
- Female candidates preferred
- Manager level: experience with monthly closing and taxation in Cambodia
PRIORITY / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Japanese language skills (salary negotiable)
- Interest in brand-name goods and precious metals
- Experience with inventory control systems (POS)
- Experience supervising staff (Manager level)
- Strong understanding of Cambodian taxation laws
- Strong understanding of cash flow management and financial reporting
WORKING CONDITIONS
- 10:00 – 19:00 (8 hours actual work + 1-hour break), Shift schedule
- Annual vacation: 18 days + Cambodia major holidays
