Job Description
Accounts Payable Management:
– Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoice processing and payments.
– Review and verify all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Vendor Relationship Management:
– Manage vendor inquiries and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure smooth transactions.
– Resolve payment disputes and discrepancies efficiently.
Compliance and Reporting:
– Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and other applicable laws.
– Prepare and analyze AP reports, including payment schedules, aging reports, and cash flow forecasts.
Process Improvement:
– Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the AP function.
– Leverage technology to streamline payment processes and improve workflow automation.
Team Leadership:
– Supervise and train the accounts payable team, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
– Conduct regular performance reviews and provide mentorship for professional development.
Collaboration:
– Work closely with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure seamless alignment of invoices and goods received.
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
– Other tasks assigned by the Accounting and Finance Manager.
Job Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
– Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, ERP systems, and financial regulations.
– Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
– Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
– Experience with logistics industry-specific systems and payment platforms.
– Knowledge of multi-currency payment processing and international vendor management.
– CPA or similar accounting certifications are a plus.
– Highly accountable and capable of handling additional tasks as assigned.
