Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will provide strategic financial leadership, overseeing all financial operations and ensuring alignment with company objectives. This role drives financial planning, analysis, and reporting, providing critical insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and profitability
- Provide guidance to senior management for strategic planning and decision-making
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate and capitalize on them
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead annual budgeting and long-term financial planning
- Conduct variance, profitability, and trend analyses
- Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning
- Deliver clear, insightful financial reporting highlighting key performance indicators
Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), tax regulations, and internal controls
- Manage external auditor relationships and support annual audits
Cash Flow and Working Capital Management
- Optimize cash flow and working capital strategies
- Monitor cash flow forecasts and maintain adequate liquidity
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions
Panasonic-Specific Oversight
- Ensure compliance with Panasonic’s financial reporting requirements
- Manage financial aspects of Panasonic’s partner programs and initiatives
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- 5–7 years of progressive financial management experience, including senior leadership
- Proven success in a trading/import and distribution business
- Experience in foreign-affiliated companies preferred
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and modeling
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced English communication skills
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments
Other Preferences
- Experience with electronic distribution
- Management experience of 2–3 years
- International exposure (studies or work abroad)
- Female candidates preferred (male candidates with exceptional experience considered)
- IQ score 7/10 or higher
