The decision of the company resuming business under the lockdown

Camup Job made another survey about each company’s decision and idea after the government announced the lockdown restrictions.

As we can see, the government just divided the Phnom Penh and Takmao area into 3 different zones of color including (Yellow, Orange, and Red). The purpose of this survey is to collect the information from private sections and share it with other companies to help and provide the idea to all businesses under this restriction. The total response is around 66, which consists of the company representatives, HR managers and officers, and business owners. Further information will be provided in the section below.

1. In which zone is your company located?

Based on the data that we have collected from the private sector, we could see that there are more than 58.5% of companies located in the yellow. 26.2% of companies are located in the red zone and 15.4% located in the orange zone.

 

2. When will (did) your company resume the daily operation?

According to the data, The majority are the ones who are still waiting for the announcement from the company, 30.2% of the answers. 23.8% of the companies keep working by remote control, so over 50% of the answerers keep not coming to the office for now. 15.9% of the companies start their operation at the office from 29th April, 4.8% will start on 3rd May.

 

3. If your company is in the yellow zone and to resume the daily operation, how many of the office measures below will your company take?

Wearing masks as duty, daily body temperature check, keeping social distance (by separating work location including remote work), online meetings are the most common measures.

 

4. Approximately how many of the total staff of your company have finished the “1st” dose vaccination?

According to the pie chart shows that 32.8% have less than 10% people have finished the first dose, and 21.3% of them over 70% of the employees have already finished the first dose. It means that there are lots of employees who have not yet received their first dose. Taking the vaccine is a very important thing to do during this crisis. As we can see that currently, there are more than 600 cases per day. The company should be preparing the document or anything involved to help and arrange the date and provide their employees the vaccines and it has lots of benefits for both the employees safety and company as well. Taking the vaccines helps to increase the safety for both employees and the workplace to reduce the pandemic, reduce spread of the virus that causes COVID-19, a growing body of evidence suggests that fully vaccinated people are less likely to be infected without showing symptoms in the community and in Cambodia as well.

 

5. Approximately how many of the total staff of your company have finished the “2nd” dose vaccination?

According to the pie chart shows that there are 41% which have less than 10% of their employees finished the second dose, and 11.5% which have over 70% of the employees already finished the second dose. Getting the second dose is a very essential dose because it clarifies that the employees receive full immunity from the vaccine. Moreover, after receiving the second dose, it means that they have full protection and the safety percentage is higher than before and the crisis will reduce.

 

6. (Only for Cambodian people) Have you applied for the Sinovacc/Sinopharm Vaccination?

In this pie chart, there are 59.6% that have already finished applying for the vaccination, 33.3% of them are not yet but they will do later or receive the invitation from the company or their community which means that lots of people do not yet receive the invitation or prepare from their company yet about the taking the vaccine. The company or the HR manager of the company should consider and arrange the date for the employees to take the vaccine to ensure their safety.

 

7. (Only for foreigner people) Have you applied for the Sinovacc/Sinopharm vaccination?

The pie chart from the foreigner side shows that 48.5% already finish applying for the vaccination, 30.3% of them have not yet applied and they are willing to do later when they receive the invitation from the community or company which means that their company is not yet arrange date for them about the vaccination. The company or the HR manager of the company should consider and arrange the date for the employees to take the vaccine to ensure their safety.
