Job Description
<Position Summary>
An assistant manager in kitchen area to keep the food quality high and hygiene. The restaurant serves professional Italian foods and you are to cooperate with the kitchen staff, service staff, and the managers.
– Lead the food operation in the kitchen. Yourself also need to work on cooking pizza, past, dessert, etc.
– Maintains and improves food quality, cooking speed and timing
– Controls food cost, manages stock to minimize wastage, damaged goods and cancel food
– Ensures kitchen tools and assets are in good order, plans ahead to prevent inactive machine and broken items
– Organizes weekly/monthly meeting with staff to understand the current situation of staff, find and solve the current matter
– Corporate with service department to solve the issues, improve the current situation
– Work with trainer to make training plan and review of training result
– Support to find high quality of products and help to negotiate
– Other tasks assigned by direct manager
– Zero waste and dishwashing team manage / support
Job Requirement
– 2 years of experience in kitchen operation at leader / management level in a standard restaurant
– Computer skills. Able to use Ms. Office, Gmail, and Google Drive in order to make documents related to the kitchen operation
– Leadership skills
– English for daily communication (your manager is foreigner)
– Friendly, hard-working, be patient, good team work
– Able to handle complaints and can improve the kitchen operation based on it
– Strong commitment to the work with high sense of responsibility
– High motivation and passion on food and beverage industry
Priority
– Experience in an Italian/Western restaurant
– Have worked under a foreigner boss
– At least 3 years of consistent work length in previous companies is preferred
