Job Description
Key Role:
– Achieving/exceeding set sales targets.
– Support a group of customers’ accounts.
– Develop, expand and sustain distribution networks and enhance excellent relationships with business partners and customers.
– Provide system design, other sales support to customers and market the Daikin brand image professionally.
– Execute sales and marketing activities, plans & strategies.
– Adhere and comply with SOPP guidelines.
– Cost effectiveness and control.
– Perform any other duties directed by the Manager.
Key Responsibility:
– Fulfill all above key roles.
– Work with all business partners closely, to gain their trust and confidence to use Daikin AP products in their HVAC requirements.
– Provide sound technical support and total air conditioning solution to all sales enquiries/project bids/tenders; equipment selection to designing; pre to post sales assistance, etc.
– Assist in corporate activities – e.g. Seminar on Product Launching, dinner, company activities etc.
– Gather feedback on competitors’ activities for Marketing Dept.
– Gather and follow-up on product quality issues with Product Development or Field Service Executives/Technicians until the problem is resolved.
– Work closely with and monitor sub-contractors’ engineering and installation work progress at project sites – assisting in installation processes and contract requirements are met.
– Take up new challenges and additional responsibilities, including non-core/non-related functional roles.
– Safety at work & worksites at all times.
– Perform and commit to other duties and activities assigned by the Management as and when necessary.
Job Requirement
Knowledge
1. Understands company vision and mission.
2. Thorough understanding of the full Applied Product range.
3. Full understanding of the sales and service cycle of the air-conditioning
industry and to keep abreast with best industry practices.
4. Sound technical knowledge of air-conditioning systems.
5. Thermodynamic and psychrometric.
The Sales Engineer is expected to possess, but not limited to the following specific skills:
– PC Skills: Basic Windows, Words, Excel and PowerPoint.
– Others, if available: Autocad/Technical designing software.
– E-Mail: Create, Send and Retrieve Messages Internet: Sourcing.
