  • Job Description

    •  Must be willing to provide 24/7 coverage (on-call rotation) and participate in after-hours
    • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
    •  Create and verify backups of data
    •  Respond to and resolve help desk requests
    • Upgrade systems and process as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
    •  Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
    •  Develop, maintain, installation and configuration procedures
    • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, system and key processes, reviewing system, application logs, and verifying completing of scheduled jobs such as backups
    • Tasks include installing new systems, firmware, and drivers, creating boundaries for as well as performing configuration and testing activities, assisting in the preparation of technical presentations and demonstrations, and participating in customer meetings.
    • Works with minimal direction from the technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks
    • Contributes to design for specific deliverables
    • Uses knowledge tools and reuses information for the benefit of projects, and professional development
    • Investigate and recommend methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
    •  Analyze system faults, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems
    •  Intranet Web services, and network management platforms on enterprise-wide system
    • Coordinate the remote testing of products in order areas
    •  Participates as part of a team and maintain good relationships with team members and clients

     

    Job Requirements

    •  IT Bachelor degree or equivalent
    •  Must have a minimum of 2 years technical support experience
    • Customer relationship skills and have a passion for customer support
    • Strong troubleshooting, communication skill, and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to complete multiple simultaneous projects in a timely manner
    • Self-starter / quick learner / self-directed
    • Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
    • Follow instructions
    • Work and act in a safe manner
    • Strong work ethic
    • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines as needed
    •  Attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions
    •   Resolve problems related to hardware, software, and network

    • Proficiency working in a Microsoft operation system environment
    • Unbox, stage, install, and configure new computer systems
    •  Experience using drive imaging tools
    •  Follow established processes
    • Experience with VMware, Microsoft SQL server, preferred
    • Programming language ability, preferred
