  • Job Description

    Major Responsibility
    – Develop corporate public relation strategic plan to deliver Makro corporate image both internal and external communication
    – Work closely with internal team and PR consulting agency to handle all government issues, press, reporters, customer complaints, press release, PR events i.e. Thong Fai government events
    – Manage and attend media related events; interview, press conference
    – Draft and edit written document, press releases, script, speech and by-line articles, annual reports to high standard consistent with company messaging and editorial guidelines
    – Draft script and copy write for print material, broadcast and communication signage according to PR and event
    – Co-organize Store Grand Openings ceremony, VIP and government invitations and special PR events for community
    – Provide PR plan, media plan, result analyst support and budgetary
    – Provide counsel to senior executives on messaging and media relation
    – counsel in write and distribute company announcements
    – manage call center for customer complaints, provide information to customer
    – manage PR message on website to drive corporate image
    – serve as MC on occasion
    – other responsibilities as defined by the Management

    Government & Press Relation
    – manage relationships with a variety of media including local, and across media types including social media network, online, print and broadcast
    – build strong relationship with government authorities, press, editors and reporters to reduce damage if crisis situation happened
    – working in close coordination with the Executive Office and Management team to initiates projects and activities as request by Government agencies including manage relationship with Government agencies and co-ordinate, represent company in any Government activities
    – develop and implement press survey

    Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
    – create activities and implement for Makro CSR campaign i.e. Makro Sustainability project
    – working in close coordination with the executive office and management team to initiates CSR projects and activities


    Job Requirements

    •  male/female aged 28 -40 years old
    •  bachelor degree in communication or marketing or related field (master degree is advantage)
    •  experiences in any aspects of PR, communication, marketing or related field at least 5 years. Experiences in retailing business will be advantage
    • creativity, well organized and facilitation skills
    • strong leadership, good personality, friendly manners and interpersonal skills
    • able to work independently and under pressure
    • willing to travel in upcountry as assignment
