Introduction to TRYBE
TRYBE is a makerspace and co-working space in central Phnom Penh with an active community of startups in 3D printing, electronics and robotics, technology, design, education and business consulting. We are united by our passion to support local entrepreneurs and students, and our philosophy that an entrepreneurial mindset can only be fostered through trying. We offer hands-on experiential learning programs in leadership, creativity, entrepreneurship and maker technologies, and organise events to bring together those who are interested in innovation and entrepreneurship in Phnom Penh.
Position Title: Intern
Reports to: Community Manager
This is a part-time role to lead TRYBE’s general space management to run smoothly. You will have the opportunity to be involved in community management, operations, educational programming and events coordination. You will have significant freedom in this role, and will therefore need to take initiative to suggest improvements and make necessary changes to improve TRYBE branding. The ideal candidate would be outgoing and friendly, able to build awareness and position for TRYBE’s brand and be a self-starter and initiator of creative ideas for community building and socials.
Remuneration for this position depends on time committment, past experience, and demonstrable skills to help with some of the aspects of the work at TRYBE.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out online marketing (social media, content marketing, advertising, blogging,etc), including posting pre-prepared content on social media
Develop social media content strategy
Use analytics to track progress and adjust your strategy as needed.
Create marketing materials including flyers, posters, stickers, tshirts, and translating into Khmer
Develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets.
Answer inquiries from guests
Event Marketing and Coordination
Design and print event materials, and promote on social media
Prepare the pre-event, during event, and post-event contents to promote on social media
Create FB event and invite guests by managing creative plans and strategies to boost event promotion
Coordinate booking of rooms/space
Help set up space for programs
Greet and check in attendees (registration)
New Membership Recruitment
Develop marketing strategies to bring more members into the space
Tour guests and new members around the space
Work with community manager to develop orientation document and conduct orientation to new members
Manage the reception desk
Manage personnel to clean and guard
Manage the fumigation by communicating with the pest control company
Maintain necessary items (water filter, get cushion covers and hand towels washed, etc.)
Check whether other items are needed to improve user experience of the space
